MAGIC informal•British wonderful; exciting.
Sometimes, magic appears in strange happenings and experiences we can't easily explain. This magic is especially clear in art, where different colors, shapes, and everyday objects come together. When a street photographer captures a scene, it is like discovering hidden wonders in the ordinary. It is no accident that amazing things happen when artists explore and experiment with their ideas. The real talent of an artist lies in their ability to notice these surprising moments and to celebrate them. By sharing their discoveries with others, artists create connections and spark joy.
The artist known as "Woet Edwin," is a talented maker living in Tāmaki Makaurau, also known as Auckland. He began his creative journey as a self-taught photographer and worked as a welder. His love for art led him to apply to art schools, where he learned from other artists and developed his skills further. In 2003, he started studying at Ucol School of Photography in Palmerston North. This experience opened his eyes to new artistic ideas and techniques. Later, from 2011 to 2014, he attended Elam School of Fine Arts in Auckland, where he continued to explore his passion for art. Through these educational experiences he has grown as an artist and found his unique style.
